Jingle bells aka To Cherry

My little sister is SO funny, I love her! She sang me the funniest version of jingle bells yesterday and I can't get it out of my head. She said it was to teach Carter about the birds and the bees, Keep in mind he is 7 months old... Here it goes (I can't be the only one with it stuck in my head):

Jingle Bells, Carter smells

Mommy laid an egg

My baby WAS small...(and thanksgiving!)

Little Zac-ie is so BIG, I can't believe it. He is 22 1/2 inches and 10 lbs 12 oz! He is a baby monster. :) He is getting the chubbiest cheeks, I love to kiss them. Even his little thighs are getting rolls! LOL. His feet and hands are big too I'll put up some pictures later. I have to take some new ones.
I am so excited for the holidays! I love this time of year so much and Zac gave us another reason to celebrate during the fall! I am excited to have Thanksgiving with Greg's family next week. Last year it was just Greg and me. We had fun, but it was lonely... I was in the kitchen and he was in the living room :( So I'm looking forward to a loud day next thursday! Our family used to all get together (dad's side), well everyone who could, and it was so fun to be with all the cousins and everyone! It got crazy sometimes. Greg's family is not as big or loud as mine, but it will be fun all the same. I hope you all enjoy your families and friends this holiday season, I know I will! :)

Zac

My baby's got sauce!

Hey everyone! So being a new mom is a little crazy, craizer than I imagined even. So the story is this:
On the 14th I thought my water broke in the morning.... So after Greg got home that night I called the nurse and told her my symptoms. She said since I was due in 3 days I'd better come in so they could check. We left planning to be sent home, we didn't take our bags or anything....On the way we went to Carls Jr. (just in case it was my last meal for awhile). We got to the hospital around 9 pm, they checked us in and hooked me up to the monitors. About an hour later the Dr came in to check the fluids and see it it was my water that broke. After he did what ever they do to see if it is he said it wasn't. But then he said that since we'd been there the baby's heart had dropped several times and since I was so close to my date he wanted to keep me and induce labor, I was already dilated to a three and 80% effaced. So we stayed! I had to have antibiotics, so they hooked that up that night. The IV totally hurt!! I hated it ALMOST as much as giving birth. The rest of the night they just let us 'sleep', but it was already midnight at that point. At 7 am they came in and asked me if I could walk around, I was having contractions, but not consistently or strong enough. So we walked around till 8:30 when they brought me breakfast. At nine they came in and hooked me up to the pit drip. Right around then my mom's sister Lori got there to be my second coach, and about an hour after that my very good friend Lindsey came to help me keep my sanity, if you know my other coaches you know why... LOL, just kidding! :) Around 10:30, I think everything around then is a little fuzzy....., the mid-wife came in a broke my water. WHICH WAS TOTALLY sick. But I guess his little heart was still dropping AND he wouldn't hold still so they wanted an internal monitor. (his little scabs just went away, it was so sad!) That kinda put the kibosh on my plans to do alternative things for pain, cause it restricted me to the bed. But I was still determined to go as long as I could with out any type of pain medication. But by 6pm I was 100% effaced and dilated to a 6 and the pain was too much for me. I decided to get an eipdural, I was pretty upset about having to get one though. After that I don't remember TOO much, except waking myself up every once and a while with my loud snoring! LOL. The nurses didn't tell me about the button that releases more of the pain medication, so after a few hours I was feeling the contractions pretty strongly again. So I was introduced to the button, Greg put himself in charge of it, since after about one push I was out again......at about 12:30am the mid-wife said I was 10 and could start pushing when I felt the urge to. (we'd stopped pushing the magic button around 11:30 when I was a 9) To be honest, I never REALLY felt the urge to push, I was watching the monitor.... But I wanted the whole thing to be over! Anyway, I pushed for about an hour and he was here! When his head was crowning the mid-wife was like reach down and touch his head... I didn't want to, but she was like "I REALLY reccommend you do it" so I did. My Aunt thought it was really funny, I guess I made a disgusted face and then wiped my hand on my hospital gown. I really don't remember much, except the pain. Everytime I look at his head I'm like HOLY COW that is HUGE. No wonder it hurt so bad. Plus, I am HUGE wussy. Two more pushes and he was out. I was crying before he was born because of the pain, and after they laid him on me I was crying even more. I couldn't believe he was here and mine. So perfect, so beautiful. Anyway, he arrived at 1:42 am weighing 7lbs 8oz and 21 inches long! He is a wonderflu little boy and we love having him here finally!
