I hate Cruises.

So since December or early January my mom and I have been planning to take my dad and Greg on a cruise to Alaska. I have been working with the agent, cause my mom was trying to keep it a surprise for my dad. Well when I found out I was pregnant I told the guy and he said, "unless you are in your third trimester you are ok to go." I was like sweet, I won't be. Well after Greg did some research it turns out Princess cruises has a policy that if you are more that 24 weeks along you can't cruise. well, that is only the middle of your second trimester, I will be 27 weeks by the time we would get back. they are refunding mine and Gregs tickets, which is nice. They will usually only refund the 'sick' persons. I'm really bummed. I have been looking forward to this trip for six months!! I can't believe it, even with a doctors note stating good health you can't go. :( Oh well I bet cruises suck anyway. I mean there have been a lot of people falling off lately. I guess I can be consoled in the fact that I know I will be safe ashore. I HATE CRUISES.

sogse

So I guess I should tell the story of Sogse, how the baby got that name.

I was staying at my parents house for a couple weeks and one day I asked Joey and Jesse what I should name the baby..... They are 4 (joey) and 2 (jesse).... I know crazy idea. Any hoo, Joey didn't miss a beat and said "Smelly Feet". Yeah, no. Jesse thought a minute and said "Carter", which is what my sister just named her 7 week old baby, so again no.

Maybe two hours later we were driving to Isaiah's baseball game, and Joey says: "Krista, I think you should name your horse, S-O-G-S-E" (he spelled it out.) HUM clever.... My response (trying not to laugh too hard) "First of all Joe, it's not a horse, it's a baby. Second of all I'm not naming my kid Sogse." Well the story was too good and cute to keep to myself, so the nickname stuck. everyone calls the baby Sogse. Funny! I love that funny little kid. And I miss him to death.

HELLO!!!

I thought this would be a good way to keep in touch with everyone, with pictures and also what little tidbits are going on in our lives.

So here goes, my first 'blog'!

Since Greg and I got maried life has been VERY hectic. We moved to LA (Van Nuys) in April of '07. I got a job pretty quick, doing plumbing showroom stuff again. Working 6 days a week was crazy, then I decided to go to school at night from 6-10. So I started school to become an esthetician in September. As I'm sure you all knowthe housing market is down, this includes building and remodeling, so by January.... I got laid off!! Which at the time was met with very mixed emotions. I was exhausted from doing work and school so that was good. I was in school and going to be done in April, so that was good. But I was jobless..... Unfortunatly I have remained unemployed.

We found out about 5 weeks after I was laid off that I was pregnant!! Which was also met with mixed emotions. I mean we were VERY excited, well I was for about 2 weeks. Then I started getting sick, I have no idea why they call it 'morning' sickness, cause it is ALL DAY. That went on for at least 14 weeks. I was so sick and all I wanted was my mom! So I went home for two whole weeks, I was sick pretty much the whole time I was there. It was so great to see my family though, and meet my new little man, Carter Rex. By the time I got home (to LA) I Had felt pretty good for about 2 days. Unfortunatly, I came home to a sick husband and 2 sick little girls (I watch them 2 times a week)..... I told Greg if I got sick I was going to be really mad. Well I did, I got it worst than everyone. boo hoo poor me :). I was miserable for about a week and a half. Took a trip to the ER and the DR told me since I was pregnant he wouldn't give me anything and told me all I could take was tylenol. WHATEVER. I mean whatever. ANYWAY, I'm over it, I feel better. So maybe I should get a job, now that I won't have to call in sick 3 days a week :). OH and in the middle of all the sickness I graduated from school, and passed my state board test. I'm now a licensed esthetician!! YIPEE.

BLAH BLAH BLAH. All I've talked about is being sick, sorry. There are other things going on in our lives. Like, we are getting a house. Which is huge. Not the house, the commitment. The house itself is pretty small. The yard is a good size but needs some work. It is a cute little place, perfect for starting our little family.

To end on a good note, the baby is very active and I love feeling him move (yes, it's a boy). He is a good kicker. Sometimes I can't believe how hard it feels, he is strong already. :) I can feel it on the outside already. Everytime I call Greg to feel it he stops kicking. LOL. He is so naughty already (besides making me so sick for so long).... We can't wait to meet him, which will be sometime in mid october. Alright, I've blabbed on enough for today. I hope you are all doing well, keep in touch!
Love,
The Fullertons
